The Nightmare Before Christmas

November 9, 2012

This movie, a story about a mid-life crisis, has wonderful music and engaging characters…

… I know. Mid-life crisis?

The main character is a man successful in his field, but he feels empty:

He decides on a drastic change in career, radically changes his wardrobe and gets a new ride:

And starts a romance with a woman much younger than him:

At the end, the moral is that it isn’t a matter of what you do, but of loving whatever you do, and making connections along the way.

So, my dear readers, am I wrong?

PZ Myers has posted the Tragedy of Aquaman, but what about Aquaman’s point of view?

Tom Cruise is Tom Cruise Crazy

July 9, 2012

“Tom Cruise is so in love with Katie, at least all his people tell him so.

And while he thinks that she’s a very special lady, it’s probably not the way he’d choose to go…”

I have an excuse to link to Sweetafton23!

Best wishes to Katie… and to Tom Cruise. I hope things work out better for both of them now that they are no longer stuck together.

Scientology, on the other hand… I wish Anonymous redoubled on it.

Where the hell is Matt… learning new dances?

I nominate Matt Harding as ambassador.
He can only help America’s image abroad, right?

Simple in its gameplay and yet epic in its scope…

Ninja Rope.

In case anyone wondered why I’ve been absent from my blog: I asked my darling wife whether she would object to me buying Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. She said I was only allowed if it was as a Christmas present to her. So, now that Emily and I have watched it- including Commentary! The Musical– I have been exposed to Ninja Rope through the medium of song. I haven’t yet beaten Nathan Fillion, but my high score is a respectable 72 yards.

Why did I not know about this?
