At Political Irony, there is a well written post about “Risk averse Romney” addressing Romney’s habit of saying he would do things differently from Obama and then avoiding going into any specifics which might make people unhappy.
The article which prompted the post describes this as “the Romney Fog Machine: a great outpouring of words intended to obscure, rather than clarify, the issue at hand.”
This makes me exceedingly uneasy, because at least when people are willing to share their ideas, you can see their thought processes and see whether they change their ideas with new evidence.
With Romney, we know what he stands against- Obama. But other than corporate wealth, what does he stand for?
