Tax where it hurts least, and spend where it helps most.


This shouldn’t be so difficult.

And yet, we see people losing their minds at the thought of the richest Americans – who would barely notice the difference – being taxed slightly more.

And we see politicians cutting from programs which make money for the state or increase employment because they aren’t popular in their political circles.

Really and truly: how hard is it for politicians to read numbers and graphs and come to sensible conclusions?
